Special Horses Secret Santa for Rescue Horses

Special Horses is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to horse rescues in Texas.  For the past several years, the organization has run a Secret Santa for Rescues program in December.

This year,Special Horses asked five rescues to nominate up to five horses each who needed a Secret Santa.  The organizations provided a description of the horses and their wish list.   Secret Santas can be individuals, businesses or organizations who donate towards a particular horse’s wish list.  All funds raised will be used to purchase items on the wish list and send them to the rescue.

You can donate to one or more of the organizations participating this year.  Scroll through the horses, pick horses to sponsor by clicking on their name, click on the green box below the horse’s description, and fill in your donation information.  Donations are made in $5 increments.

Wags to Riches Gala and Casino NIght

Pearland Pets provides assistance to the Pearland Animal Control and Adoption Center in Pearland, Texas.  The Wags to Riches Gala & Casino Night is their big annual fundraiser – and it is definitely a night of fun!  Funds from this event will be used to purchase a large trailer that can haul animals to adoption events where they can find wonderful, loving homes.  The trailer can also be used to evacuate pets out of the area, which is important since Pearland is on the Gulf Coast and is threatened by hurricanes.

Bluebonnet Horse Expo

The Bluebonnet Horse Expo is a day of horses, fun, shopping, horses, learning, horses, and more fun!  The event includes:

• training and riding clinics by internationally accomplished clinicians
• shopping in the vendors area, at the live tack auction, at the silent auction (tack, jewelry, home decor and more), at the Bluebonnet Art Show, and in the tack sale area
• The Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge
• Horses available for adoption from Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society
• And much more!

Proceeds from the event benefit the horses of Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society.  The organization is still looking for sponsors, vendors, and donations of tack, horse/farm equipment, and horse/farm/ranch-themed art work, jewelry, and home decor.
